The Island’s Other Side! (Part II)

Buried Octopus

On the other side of the island, StickFiggy saw something light purple in the sand. “What in the world could that be!” he excitedly  muttered while hurrying towards it.  There half buried in sand was the saddest looking octopus that StickFiggy had ever seen!  Jumping to one of the tentacles, StickFiggy looked down and asked what was the matter.

“I am so tired and sad,” said the Octopus. “I’m much too tired to get out of this sand now that I’ve let it cover me these past weeks. The water was so boring so I came onto this island thinking it would be better. It isn’t, I’m still bored, bored, bored.  And now…I’m simply stuck.”

“Oh dear Octopus,” said StickFiggy. “Don’t worry, this is easy to fix. I will help to dig you out but only if you help make it fun for me too. With the extra sand that we’ll dig up, make lots of sand castles with me. You will see, it can be fun,”

And so StickFiggy and the octopus and had a fantastic afternoon. In fact, the octopus  discovered that 8 arms make great sand castles!
